Seven magnificent waterfalls create a contrast to the rough Dalmatian karst. All of the waterfalls are part of the Krka and Čikola Rivers which run entirely through Šibenik Knin County. There are many ways to enjoy the beautiful nature of the National Park from exploring different footpaths and hiking trails, swimming in the river, taking a boat ride to the nearby island of Visovac, souvenir shopping or visiting the museum. The most famous and most attractive waterfall is Skradinski buk. The National Park is also home to two Monasteries, the Franciscan on island of Visovac and the Serbian Eastern Orthodox one. When you finish exploring the National Park stop by a small town at the river mouth called Skradin and refresh yourself in one of numerous traditional restaurants that serve local, organic food.
